Porto Palacio Hotel is located in the heart of the business district of the city, with easy access to the A1 highway, 15 minutes away from Francisco Sa Carneiro Airport, 500m from Casa da Musica and subway station and 1km from the Modern Art Museum. The hotel has 251 rooms, divided in 10 Executive floors and 3 Deluxe floors (the 3 top floors), with a total of 192 Executive rooms, 42 Deluxe Rooms and 18 Suites, of which 12 executive, 3 deluxe, 2 superior deluxe and 1 Grand Palacio Suite. All rooms renewed in 2006, are comfortably equipped and adjustable to fulfill the requirements of each guest: air conditioning, mini-bar, free digital safe deposit box, radio, Plasma TV screen with 52 channels of cable TV and Pay TV, telephone links for faxes and PC (analogic and digital) free and unlimited access to Wireless Internet (Wi-Fi). There are 9 Non-smoking floors in a total of 151 rooms, and 2 rooms for the disabled. The hotel has a fully equipped business centre in the lobby with fax, photocopier, PC, Internet and printer. Our new congress and events centre features a multipurpose room for 600 persons equipped with state of the art audio visual equipment and independent entrance from the Hotel. All together in our 12 meeting rooms we can host events form 8 to 600. Our excellent in-house health and fitness club with 3,200 sqm is home to all the latest gym equipment for body building activities or cardio fitness regimes, great for a pre or post meeting work out or just catching up from the jetlag. For something a little less strenuous, there is also a Jacuzzi sauna, Turkish bath and a all wide range of health and beauty treatments. Dining at the hotel is an experience of a life time. Our Executive Chef (who is also the official chef for the Portuguese football team) has received several awards for his regional and international cuisine. Guests are encouraged to taste some of the local gastronomy. For light meals and informal meetings the Nautilus Bar offers bar snacks, and plays live music in the evenings. Future projects include a Spa by L'Occitaine, a Panoramic Lounge and the new Gourmet Restaurant "Le Coin".
