Good hotel for the budget travellers. jmg 06/06. it is a plain stone building. quite large traditionally decorated with ceramic floor tiling. the curtains and bedspreads have a floral design. the toilet is in a separate room from the bathroom (typical in morocco). is situated on the top floor at the rear of the hotel. it has a dark wooden floor and corresponding heavy dark furniture. small but opens out onto seating area and outside courtyard with centre piece of water fountain. arabic style. tiles and traditional designs can be seen in all the public areas. the original building is located at the rear housing a bar named after winston churchill which is well kept in almost original condition. in the centre of the medina area, used to be the british embassy and residence of winston churchill during the second world war when visiting this ancient city.
