Little House On The Prairie. This TV series sparked the interest in her books. People in Japan worship this series and save for years to come to this little town of 1200 persons. De Smet needed a family quality motel that was smack dab in the heart of Laura Ingalls Wilder country. From our motel you may visit The ingalls homestead that is the 160 acres of original Pa's property. He homesteaded in the 1800s and proved up on his free land. Our motel is primed to serve families.
