Cliff Bay Resort Hotel Funchal travel guide

The Cliff Bay is a modern resort hotel set in subtropical gardens on a clifftop with views over the Atlantic, two kilometres from Funchal town centre. Many of the hotel's 201 guestrooms offer impressive sea views and all have private, furnished balconies and marble bathrooms with twin washbasins, hair dryers, bathrobes, and complimentary toiletries. Other room amenities include air conditioning, minibars, cable television, coffee and tea making facilities, and safes.

The hotel has a heated indoor pool with outdoor section, as well as an outdoor pool at sea level with separate children's area, and a poolside bar overlooking the Atlantic. The complex also has a tennis court, while Palheiro Golf Club is 18 kilometres from the hotel. Funchal Airport is 20 kilometres from the hotel, approximately 25 minutes by car.
