Location. Half a block from the shops of Lisbon's central boulevard, Avenida da Liberdade, the Tivoli Jardim appeals to travellers seeking tranquillity within walking distance of the boulevard's attractions. The Botanical Gardens are two blocks away and the vast Edward VII Park is five blocks. Lisbon Airport (LIS) is eight kilometres, around 20 minutes' drive.
Hotel Features. The hotel shares its grounds with a partner hotel and a small 18th-century palace. In the palace garden there is a 14-metre diameter heated pool surrounded by centuries-old trees, a lawn, and cushioned teak sun loungers. Use of a lobby computer with high-speed Internet access and a printer is complimentary. Wireless Internet access (surcharge) is available in public areas.

Guests of the Tivoli Jardim enjoy a complimentary American buffet breakfast each day, and the hotel's restaurant serves an à la carte menu of traditional Portuguese dishes for lunch and dinner. From May to October, a poolside bar offers light meals and drinks.

Guests of the hotel enjoy access to facilities in Hotel Tivoli Lisboa next door, including a complimentary fitness centre, and a top-floor, restaurant with terrace and panoramic views of the city. Guests can also charge meals at Tivoli Lisboa to their rooms.

Guestrooms. The hotel offers 119 air-conditioned guestrooms in a seven- storey building. Rooms come with one king bed or two twin beds; twin-bed rooms include furnished balconies. All rooms have minibars, desks, club chairs, light-wood furniture and panelling, and marble bathrooms with shower/tub combinations. Televisions offer international channels and pay movies. High-speed Internet access is available for a surcharge.

Expert Tip. The Portuguese painter Mily Possoz lived at Hotel Tivoli Lisboa, adjacent to Hotel Tivoli Jardim, for nearly 30 years, beginning in 1948. When she ran out of money, she paid in paintings. They adorn Hotel Tivoli Lisboa's public spaces. Most striking are her pastel portraits of Portuguese women in regional dress.
