The Hotel Le Donjon is three stone-built period buildings in the centre of the medieval French city of Carcassonne. The 62 climate-controlled guestrooms, over three floors, have muted pastel tones, modern furnishings and original features. All are equipped with satellite television with pay movies, direct-dial phones, dial-up and wireless Internet access, safes, minibars and coffee/tea makers. Bathrooms have makeup mirrors and hair dryers.<BR> The Brasserie Le Donjon is set in a stone-walled and serves local specialities, such as Cassoulet (a stew of goose confit and beans) and Foie Gras. A breakfast buffet is served on the terrace during summer. The hotel offers a combination of historic charm and modern facilities, such as wireless Internet access in Maison du Donjon, and air conditioning in public areas. Just a short walk away in a separate building, breakfast is served each morning. The bar serves a wide range of drinks and features a television, and guests can also benefit from a dry cleaning service, laundry facilities, and a safe-deposit box at the front desk. There are three meeting and conference rooms with audio-visual equipment and a capacity for up to 80. The hotel is close to many local attractions; the Carcassonne Tower is just 150 metres from the hotel, and the 13th- century Comtal Chateau is only 300 metres away. Carcassonne Airport is 10 kilometres away, an approximate driving time of 15 minutes.
