Blarney Woollen Mills Hotel was formerly a woollen mill built from stone in 1824, and is situated right in the village centre, just 200 metres from the famous Castle and Blarney Stone. The 48 guestrooms have traditional style décor in warm colours with dark wooden furnishings and rich patterned fabrics. All are equipped with direct- dial phones, clock radios, coffee and tea making facilities, satellite television and bathrooms with toiletries and hair dryers. <BR> A full Irish breakfast is served each morning and guests can enjoy a range of on site dining options. Christy's Grill Bar serves a variety of dishes for dinner using fresh local ingredients; the house speciality is Irish Beef Stew. The informal Mill Restaurant features a running water mill wheel and an open fire, and serves a range of drinks, snacks, soups, salads and hot serviced buffet lunches. Located in the old mansion house, Christy's Pub is a typical Irish bar open all day and serving pub lunches and pints of Guinness. The hotel also offers 24-hour room service. Guests can take advantage of the facilities at the leisure centre including a gymnasium, squash courts, and sauna. The hotel has a meeting room with capacity for up to 50 people and there is ample free parking on site. Visitors can visit the neighbouring Castle and kiss the famous Blarney Stone of Eloquence, enjoy a day out in Cork City (six miles away) or trace their ancestry at Cobh Heritage Centre, 18 miles away. Cork International Airport is approximately ten miles and a 25-minute drive from the hotel.
