Valencia

A seaside city that is close to the islands.

Valencia is a mix of old and new - culturally and aesthetically. An autonomous region, Valencia is a bit like Barcelona in its boldness.

The architecture reflects back not only to Roman times, but Arabian times. The cathedral and the town hall are examples of elaborate and passionate design, while the newer buildings, including the sleek Center for Arts and Sciences by Santiago Calatrava, prove that Valencia is not left in the past. It reminds one of the opera house in Sydney.

Valencia is sunny and warm most of the year, and is known for its vibrant nightlife.

The historical center is really nice but as soon as it deviates from a Dirz 1km we arrive directly in neighborhoods with large colored buildings.
