<b>Location.</b> Set 200 metres up among olive and citrus trees, the Grand Hotel Aminta is three kilometres west of Sorrento centre and offers views of Naples Bay, Mount Vesuvius, and the Lattari Mountains. The annex building, Villa Aminta, is accessible by a 100-metre stone path bordered by lavender bushes. An outdoor 17- metre pool with separate children's section opens during the summer months. Use of chairs and umbrellas on the pool's sundeck is complimentary. Sun loungers are available for a daily surcharge. <br><br> The hotel restaurant and bar offer panoramic views of the Bay and city of Naples, Mount Vesuvius, and Lattari Mountains from terraces fringed with olive trees and bougainvillea; twice-weekly themed dinners feature live music.<br><br> The nearest beach is Marina Grande 1.5 kilometres away. Rooms in the main building have high-speed Internet connections, while rooms in Villa Aminta include small computers with high- speed Internet access (surcharge).<br><br><b>Expert Tip.</b> Because of its distinctive flavour and aroma, oil produced from Sorrentine Peninsula olives is accorded a protected status by the European government. Grand Hotel Aminta's restaurant serves oil pressed from olives grown on the hotel grounds.
