the building is brick and t-shaped. there are two main entrances to the hotel, one on the lower ground floor with access from the underground, or the main hotel entrance. the back entrance is mainly used for guests using the banquet halls.

the rooms are large with special japanese-style 'fusuma' (sliding doors) covering the closet. each window is covered by the japanese sliding screens (shoji) which gives the rooms a special touch. otherwise, the decor has an old european touch with brown wooden furniture with dark green and brown colours which match the image of the hotel. the bathrooms are all in good condition. all rooms have been recently renovated and even include a separate dressing table area for female guests.

the hotel offers a number of types of restaurants that have been recently renovated. the 'keyaki grill' is extremely popular for it's relax atmosphere and excellent food. the 'lipo bar' offers a number of different alcoholic beverages along with live music, or `origami` for a casual snack or tea-time. the japanese restaurant is raised above the water of a small pond of which clients can enjoy the view as they dine.

the lobby is very large and elegant. the lobby is decorated by remarkable japanese flower arrangements which change weekly and according to the season. the hotel always uses the flower arrangements in the lobby for its promotional activities. there is a view of the pond at the back of the hotel which has carp living in its waters.

the hotel is located in the area of the tokyo metropolitan government office buildings. the historic hie shrine stands next to the hotel. the subway station where 4 subway lines meet is right in front of the hotel.
