Gressoney-La-Trinité is a town and comune in the Aosta Valley region of north-western Italy.
Nestling at an altitude of 1,644 m Gressoney La Trinitè is the highest village in the Lys Valley. It is renowned both for winter sports and for the many trips to the Monte Rosa.
Its most appealing characteristics are the typical Walser houses (Walser is the name of the original inhabitants), the so-called stadel, buildings made of wood and stone, lying on short mushroom-shaped pillars.
From Gressoney La Trinitè you can put on your skis and ski through the three valleys of the Monte Rosa Ski area, down more than 200 km of slopes, catering for all tastes. (...) more…
