Aldeanueva de la Vera travel guide

Aldeanueva de la Vera is a municipality located in the province of Cáceres, Extremadura, Spain. According to the 2006 census (INE), the municipality has a population of 2304 inhabitants. Aldeanueva the la Vera is situated in the Sierra de Gredos and has nice mountain creecs as Garganta los Gauchos and Garganta San Georgio. It produces tabac, figes, cherry's, pimenton la casareña (red pepper powder) and a regional wine "pitarra". It is in the middle off an importand tourist area La Vera. You can find a nice overnight stay in vacacion cottige la oropendola http://www.jan.russ.nl/ la oropendola in the Gredos mountains and also in some other tipical hotels, campings and vacacion houses. The tourist attracion is mainly the verry beautifull nature of this area (turismo rural, walking track Ruta del Emperedor and Monesterio de Yuste, the final resting place of Emperador Carlos V (1455 - 1505), in (Cuacos de Yuste).
