Altitude: 2800 m. The attractive little town of Ollantaytambo, at the foot of some spectacular Inca ruins and terraces, is built directly on top of the original Inca town, or Llacta. The Inca canchas (blocks of houses) are almost entirely intact and can be clearly seen. Its an impressive sight and one that shouldnt be missed, even though many people only visit the ruins above the town.
