Ryazan travel guide

Ryazan (Ряза́нь rʲɪˈzanʲ) is a city in the Central Federal District of Russia, the administrative center of Ryazan Oblast. It is located on the Oka River 196 km south-east of Moscow. Population: 521,560 (2002 Census); 514,638 (1989 Census). Ryazan is twinned with Münster and Lovech. The strategic bomber base Dyagilevo is found just west of the city, and the abandoned air base of Alexandrovo is to the southeast as is the small Ryazan Turlatovo Airport. (...) more…
