Otopeni is a town in Ilfov County, Romania, a few kilometers North of Bucharest along the road to Ploieşti. It has 10,215 inhabitants, of which 99.0% are Romanians.
Its main claim to fame is the Henri Coandă International Airport - formerly known as Bucharest Otopeni International Airport. As of 2007, it is also the town in Romania with the highest output per capita, mainly because a lot of companies operating in Bucharest have the headquarters in Otopeni. (...)
