Maraval is a valley in northern Trinidad in Trinidad and Tobago, and is considered one of the northern suburbs of the capital Port of Spain. It is located east of the Diego Martin valley to which it is connected directly by a hill pass called Morne Coco Road, and west of Santa Cruz valley, to which it is connected by Saddle Road.
Maraval is sometimes referred to as 'Diego Martin East'. It is home to both http://www.trinibase.com/trinity/ Trinity College secondary school and St. Andrew's Golf Course/Club, and provides the best route of access from the capital to the North Coast.
It is a common misconception that there are a lot of rich people living in Maraval representing the upper echelon of Trinidian society. While it is true that there are several high-income enclaves within Maraval such as Champs Elysess, Fairways, Hillsboro, Andalucia, Haleland Park, and Moka, there are also middle and lower income neighbourhoods as well. Neighbourhoods like Boissiere Village, Debe, Paramin,Perseverence, and La Seiva Village are some notable examples. It should be noted, however, that given the astromomical rise in Real Estate Values in recent times, properties in these lower income Maraval neighbourhoods are commanding prices in excess of $1 Million TTD (...) more....
