New Yorkers are willing to wait for over 1/2 hour to order at this New York institution. What's the big deal? The burgers are delectable, and the ever-rotating selection of shakes and custards are the finest in the city. There's a location on the Upper West side that has a shorter line, but for those times when you can't make it uptown, the original location in Madison Square Park is a lovely place to wait for a burger and shake.

In-n-out on the west coast is so much better. When the shack when I was visiting NY. It was greasy and not as tasty as everyone made it to be. And more expensive tha in-n-out.
