San Martín de los Andes

San Martin de los Andes is located at the edge of Lago Lacar, with attractive chalet-style architecture and lots of good accommodation. It’s an excellent centre for exploring southern parts of the Parque Nacional Lanín and nearby lakes Lolog and Lacar, where there are beaches for relaxing and good opportunities for rafting, canoeing, mountain biking, trekking and even diving. There is also excellent skiing at Chapelco resort 10 km south, and Chapelco Airport, 12 km north, receives daily flights from Buenos Aires.
