Two remarkable art nouveau houses stand on the west side of the Szervita square
Two remarkable art nouveau houses stand on the west side of the square: on the former bank building Török at no. 3, built in 1906 by Ármin Hegedüs and Henrik Böhm, the sweeping gable with its shining gold mosaic stands out. The female figure in the centre of the picture embodies Patrona Hungariae. By contrast, the façade with its large areas of glass on the department store at no. 5 is considerably more sober. It was built to designs by Béla Lajta in 1912.
