The history of the Jewish community of Buda, which lived in this part of the Castle District from the second half of the 14th century, is recalled in the small exhibition in the Gothic house
Jewish prayer house (Középkori Zsidó Imaház) was restored a few years ago. Fragments from the synagogue built in 1461 are shown in the courtyard, whose foundations were revealed in the garden behind house number 23.
