Everything in Tofino is close, clustered around Campbell St and Main St. Bikes are recommended for getting to the beaches. Tofino Water Taxi, T1877-726 5485, www.tofinowater taxi.com, charges about $20 return to Meares Island, $30 return to Vargas Island.

Air

Sound Flight, T1866-921 3474, http://www.soundflight.net, have daily mid-May to mid-Sep flights between Tofino and Seattle (US$390 one-way).

Bus

Tofino Bus, T1866-986 3466, www.tofino bus.com, runs 2 daily mid-May to mid-Sep services to Vancouver ($62 including ferry) and Victoria Greyhound station, 0815 (5 hrs, $64). Also services to Nanaimo ($38), Port Alberni ($23) and north to Port Hardy ($95). Greyhound , T1800- 6611725, operates 1 morning service to Victoria (7 hrs, $60) and Nanaimo (4 hrs, $38).
