Price is a city in Carbon County, Utah, United States. The city is home to the College of Eastern Utah, as well as the large prehistoric museum affiliated with the college. The city is located within short distances from both Nine Mile Canyon and Manti-La Sal National Forest. Price is noted for its history as a mining town, and its Greek/Catholic/Mormon split population. The population was 8,402 at the 2000 census, and by 2004 it was estimated to have decreased to 8,197.
