Victoria is a city in and the county seat of Victoria County, Texas, United States. The population was 60,603 at the 2000 census. The Victoria metropolitan area had an estimated population of 221,417 in seven counties which is usually referred to as the "Golden Crescent". It is the cathedral city of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Victoria in Texas.
