This article is about a city in the U.S. state of Texas. For the Intel processor, see Intel Core 2. Conroe is a city and the seat of Montgomery County in the U.S. state of Texas within the metropolitan area. As of the 2000 U.S. Census, the city population was 36,811 (though a 2004 estimate placed the population at 43,402).
