Elizabethton travel guide

Elizabethton is the county seat of Carter County, Tennessee. It is also the site of the first independent American settlement west of both the Eastern Continental Divide and the original thirteen British colonies in America.
According to the most recent U.S. Decennial Census, the municipal population reached 13,372 in 2000. The 2004 Population Estimates by the U.S. Census Bureau places the Elizabethton municipal population at 13,993 residents. (...) more....
