Though the East Coast is crowded with beaches of every kind, Ocean City, Maryland manages to be something special. The Eastern Shore of Maryland is widely known for its delicious crabs and other shellfish, and this small peninsula offers more than its fare share of sandy seafood shanties. Out at the southern end, the famous boardwalk stretches into long blocks of ocean view, amusement park rides, beach shops and bars. It’s a perfect location for a family, a couple, or a group of friends. Either way, don’t forget a bucket of renowned seasoned fries at Thrasher’s. And if your pirate blood gets the best of you, you may risk a ride on the colossal pirate ship that swings into the sky. In the end, though, the salty air and warm golden sand under your feet will be all you need to make you happy.
