Mena

Mena is a city in Polk County, Arkansas, United States. It was founded by Arthur Edward Stilwell during the building of the Kansas City, Pittsburg and Gulf Railroad (now the Kansas City Southern). The town was named after Mena Janssen de Goeijen who was the wife of Arthur Stillwell's primary investor, Jan de Goeijen. It was not named for Queen Wilhelmina of the Netherlands.
The population was 5,637 at the 2000 census. The city is the county seat of Polk County. (...) more....
