I was immediately falling in love with Chandigarh when I visited for the first time in 2006: the falling night embraces the city and brings with it nourishing silence. And the refreshing dawn gives a chance to wake up to chirps and soft sun rays. Buildings do not poke the blue sky but seem to carry it humbly and gracefully. Concrete structures do not squeeze in several narrow and sometimes tiny frames like in Mumbai. In your leisure time, you can get lost in the mysterious vastness of the sky. You will definitely love the city’s huge open spaces, many of which are well-maintained: landscaped public gardens; leafy venues; and spacious open air playgrounds.
All of this was suddenly mine, when I relocated to Chandigarh from Mumbai. And I’m happy.
