Drottningholm Palace and Park

Sweden’s first contribution to The World Heritage List in 1991, not only because of the Palace which is considered a Swedish Mini Versailles, but even for the garden, the Palace’s antique theatre and a unique Chinese Pavilion hosted on the grounds too.

It's also the Swedish Royal family's home and a very popular picnic destination for Stockholmers during the summer time.

Drottningholm is a marvelous place with several attractions on the grounds, so make it a whole day excursion to really enjoy this green recreation area just outside the city.Best way to go there is by boat from the city. Regular boat services in summertime depart from Stadshuskajen (the City Hall Quay) to Drottningholm. For depature times and fares, call Strömma Kanalbolaget at +46-8-587 140 00.
