Last village accessible by car though Argentina before the Bolivian frontier. In rain season the trail path that takes you there is flooded by the waters so it has to be rebuilt every year. The way to Iruya is as pleasureful as visiting the village. The area is great for trekking and offers some spectacular scenery.
