The best spot for snorkeling
In Aqaba several diving clubs offer equipment and instruction. While you can find at the Royal Diving Club some coral reefs in front of the beach, other diving schools take boats to the spots that lead from the southern coast to the Saudi border. Special attractions include a Russian tank and a Lebanese cargo ship that were sunk for divers. A day trip to Pharaoh's Island, which is actually in Egyptian waters and has very beautiful diving sites, is recommended. All diving schools offer diving courses using the internationally recognized PADI system. Theoretical and practical tests can be taken. All equipment, from oxygen cylinders to diving suits to fins can be rented. Appropriate sizes for children are also in stock.
Royal Diving Club: Established Diving Club 17 km south of Aqaba. Here you have a clear view of the mountains of Sinai across the way. A pontoon is the best way for snorkelers to go directly into the water on coral reefs. Beautiful beach, from which, however, you may not go directly into the water, because the corals here reach the shore. | Entrance 7 JD, for free diving | Southern Coastal Road | Tel 03/2017035 | Tel 03/2017035, 2032709 | http://www.rdc.jo
