Rock masses of volcanic origin reach their peak at Blue Mountain Peak. Blue Mountains are a paradise for hikers, though a demanding one. The trails are often steep and make you sweat despite cooler temperatures. The effort is rewarded with the view of crystal-clear brooks, small waterfalls, butterflies, birds, mango trees, coffee plantations and views of the green hilltops of tropical mountains. The beautifully situated Forbes Park Guest House is an excellent starting point. Sun Venture Tours also organizes peak tours. The Hollywell National Park is only a few miles away. There is a special hotel, the Strawberry Hill, to the north of Irish Town.
