When the city was founded in 1875, it had a mere 100 inhabitants, and today the population totals about 1.6 million including the metropolitan area. 50,000 people who live here work for the largest employer in Florida: Walt Disney World. The amusement park is located 20 km away, which is why many travelers never get into the city itself, where amongst a few skyscrapers, there is a nice Old Town center. A must-see is the old Church Street Station, now an entertainment complex. Orlando has a whole range of other leisure facilities, including a huge exhibition and congress center, a university and an international airport.

  • Orlando is a huge big city of Florida and located in Orange County. It is only 187 miles away from famous Hollywood City and 200 miles from Miami. Orlando has little hot summer days, pleasant autumns and occasionally cold winters. There are heaps of striking gardens and parks such as World of Orchids, Harry P. Leu Gardens, Historic Bok Sanctuary and Arboretum University of Central Florida. Number of museums can be seen here. Some of them are as: The Orlando Museum of Art, Orange County Regional History Center, Ripley's Believe It or Not! Orlando Odditorium, Charles Hosmer Morse Museum of American Art, The Orlando Museum of Art and The Holy Land Experience. The Marine themed park, Sea World Orlando offers the biggest rollercoaster in Orlando for the visitors. Walt Disney World is the biggest attraction of the Orlando and visitors can see their favorite cartoon characters here alive and can play with them. Discovery Cove, Holy Land, Aquatica and Gatorland are the most adventurous places of the Orlando. Lots of golf courses are available in Orlando such as Eaglewood Golf Club, Boggy Creek Golf Club, Faldo Golf Institute By Marriott, MetroWest Golf Club, Shingle Creek Golf Club and Stoneybrook Golf Club. Golf lovers can come and enjoy this game here.
