Martha's Vineyard was one of the first places explorers discovered in the New World. It is now home to some wealthy families and celebrities alike. Don't be turned off by this though, during the summer months, it is a very welcoming tourist destination, with ferries running from the mainland every hour or so.
There are beautiful beaches to surf and relax upon, as well as great places to dock your sailboat.
