Moroccos only well-presserved Roman archeological excavation
The Roman village Volubilis was named after the Morning Glories Walili growing here. The archeological excavation, which is frequently neglected by tourists, is impressively located on the edge of a longish plateau at the foot of the Zerhoun mountains. Take enough time to visit this area with unique mosaics, a triumphal arch and the Via Maximus.
