Behind Biograd, Vransko Jezero (http://www.vransko-jezero.hr) is Croatia’s largest lake; one of the country’s few colonies of herons can be spotted in the ornithological reserve on the northwest shore. Last but not least, you will pass through Biograd if planning to visit the islands of Pašman and Ugljan: a regular Jadrolinija ferry service connects the town to Tkon on Pašman, which in turn is connected to Ugljan by a bridge.
