This highway, stretching about 300 km around the northern tip of Cape Breton Island is justly famous for offering the finest views in Eastern Canada. Coastal cliffs and quiet high moor landscapes alternate with vacation resorts, golf courses and little fishing villages with their wooden lobster pots on the sand. The most impressive part of the drive is through Cape Breton Highlands National Park, whose forests, especially in Indian Summer, provide an unforgettable experience.
