Vancouver's Chinatown is highly publicized. The provenance of this area dates to the late 1800s when the Chinese immigrant community set up base here. Today, the relics of the original architecture are one of the attractions in the area, along with the Dr.Sun Yat Sen gardens. The food is interesting, though not the best you can find in Vancouver. Try the bbq pork buns or fresh sea food. Early morning or afternoons are the best time to go, since the place has a rather edgy character at night. Don't budget for more than an hour or two here.
