Tsing Ma Bridge is the sixth-longest span suspension bridge in the world. It was named for two islands:Tsing Yi and Ma Wan. The bridege is 41 meters wide and is comprised of two decks with six multi-directional lanes for automobile traffic on the upper deck, and two rail tracks with two emergency lanes on the lower deck in the event of a severe typhoon. It’s main span is 1,377 meters – even greater than the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco
