Hot springs surrounded by rhyolite mountains
In the olden days, farmers used to rest after sheep drives here, at the "hot springs of the people of the land," as the placename means. Today it may be Iceland's favorite bathing spot, with colorful mountains of rhyolite ringing the springs. From Bláhnúkur--its name comes from bluegreen sheen of its rocks--you will have a view of the Laugahraun.
