One of the most interesting facilities of its kind in Budapest
The oldest part of this bathhouse, excellently restored after heavy damage in the Second World War, is the hamam built in 1570 under Mustafa Pasa – a Turkish bath whose octagonal main room is covered by a dome. Smaller domes cover the three side rooms. The bath house was considerably extended in the Baroque era, when it received its beautiful arched passage. After 1827, a classical wing and a pillared courtyard were added.
