In the footsteps of legendary revolutionary Che Guevara
The rock fortress Samaipata, from the times of Inca, is located about a three hours drive from Santa Cruz. The village of Samaipata is also part of the 4 to 6-day “Che-Guevara tour” since the revolutionary looted weapons here between 1965 and 1967. The highlight, however, is the visit of the school of La Higuera where the revolutionary was taken captive on October 8th 1067 and executed the next day. The tour operator Nature Tours is recommended.
