If you're lost in Tokyo and need an orienting landmark, look for the famous Tokyo Tower – at 333 meters, this iconic communications tower is hard to miss. NHK, Fuji TV and TBS broadcast from here, but most visit to admire the city from the two observation decks. Gaze at Mt. Fuji, but watch out for Godzilla.

This is the Japanese version of the Eiffel Tower, and while it's not quite as iconic, it's a good place to go up and get views of the city. When I went it was snowing, so I didn't see much, but it was fun to look through the windows on the floors of this place at the people stories below.
