The largest bronze Buddha of Japan can be found in Nara
The huge temple complex was founded in 745 by emperor Shomu as head office of all Buddhist temples of Japan. The hall of the Great Buddha is the main attraction. Even though it has shrunk to two thirds of its original size in the course of several reconstructions, however, it is still considered the greatest wooden building of the world.
