The Greek islands, scattered throughout the eastern Mediterranean like spilled pebbles, are as diverse as they are beautiful. Perhaps the most famous and breathtaking island is Santorini, a small island in the south Aegean that boasts spectacularly high cliffs, a world-famous sunset view, and the stunning blue and white buildings that adorn endless postcards. And of course, Santorini has a volcano, the famous caldera that formed the island in the first place.
