Dallas lies on the eastern edge of the flat Texas plains with the famed cattle town Fort Worth just to the west. The areas between and around these 2 cities are known as the DFW Metroplex.
There are many things to see and do in the area. Dallas has the dubious honor of being the place where the 35th US President, John F. Kennedy was assassinated. If you are interested in seeing the crime scene you can venture to a lovely area known as Dealey Plaza in the historic West End. Tourism Mecca awaits you. There is plenty to see and when you need a drink or something to eat there are plenty of restaurants from which to choose.
