Frick Collection

by Marco Polo

The private art collection of the steel producer Henry Clay Frick from Pittsburgh

In 1935, after the death of Adelaide Frick, widow of the collector, the house was opened as a museum. The private character has been preserved in the museum. The excellent collection comprises paintings of old masters like Goya, Titian, Renoir or El Greco, bronzes of the Italian Renaissance and enamels from Limoges, which are presented in the intimate surroundings of the rooms furnished in the Empire style.
