Wasting no effort on the interior - the restaurant looks more like a German Beer Hall - Peter Luger's instead will age your steak with the utmost care and then cook it perfectly. You'd be an idiot to order anything but a steak here, but the selection of sides and appetizers is also noteworthy. Sizzling bacon, German fried potatoes and creamed spinach are all heavenly. Bring cash, because the only plastic Peter Luger takes is a house credit card that you have to apply for in advance.
