The crookedest street is paved with red brick stones and is so steep that it can only be accessed one-way – downhill. Alongside the windy curves making their way down from Russian Hill colorful flowers and plants make for a beautiful film and photo motive not to be missed. For the eager photographer, the stairs on both sides of the street are the easiest and fastest way to head up and down Lombard Street and capture the lively happening on this short but so famous and entertaining road. The crooked part of Lombard Street starts from the corner of Hyde Street which can be easily reached with the Cable Car PH – Powell & Hyde.
