A European-style cathedral on Nob Hill
Though it's not exactly Paris' Notre Dame, visitors to Grace Cathedral often end up doing a double take. This beautiful, neo-Gothic cathedral is the seat of the Episcopalian bishop and appropriately grand: French rosette windows, mosaics, labyrinths, huge Ghiberti doors, and over 7,000 square ft. of stained glass accent a massive stone space that rivals any of Europe's finest. This being San Francisco, Grace Cathedral is also known for its open-mindedness - in one corner of the cathedral is the AIDS Interfaith Chapel, which memorializes AIDS victims and honors AIDS caregivers.
